Why did I co-found Connect 574?
When I first moved back to the community in May ‘22, I was finding it difficult to meet new people who’d want to go with me to cool experiences – and that’s assuming I knew about the experiences before they happened! I decided to take matters into my own hands to make it happen.

Why did I co-found Connect 574?
The idea behind Connect 574 is something that I noticed after moving back to the area in 2021. I went from having hundreds of friends and people that I would see out on the weekends in college, to a handful of friends who hadn’t moved away, and I found it difficult to find a way to just make friends, not necessarily professional colleagues.

I moved away from South Bend for school and came back to pursue a job opportunity and stay close to family.

My favorite hidden gem is Lang Lab! They bring in amazing artists and have created a fantastic, cozy, and inviting cafe and bar.

Moved to South Bend in order to be closer to family. We stayed because it is beautiful and we love living in the Midwest.

Nom Nom Pho, specifically their Banh Mi. I’ve been to Vietnam and can say that it’s pretty accurate.

The MMM program brought me to the Midwest, I chose South Bend because of the ease of getting to Chicago, nature, and how green the city is!

Not sure if it’s a hidden gem but L Street Kitchen has the best breakfast in town!
